Autoclavable Hydroponic Systems for Small-Scale Plant Research

For many biological researchers, the principles and designs of hydroponic systems can provide many advantages over traditional plant research techniques. In collaboration with a USDA researcher and our organics team, we have designed a small-scale, autoclavable hydroponic system that can be used for various types of plant research.

Remodeling Hydroponic Systems for Microalgae Cultivation

Vertical farming systems are often associated with cultivating crops such as lettuce, herbs, and other leafy greens. We aim to repurpose one of our existing hydroponic systems to sustainably cultivate microalgae in a compact and efficient manner, expanding the potential applications of vertical farming technology.

Incorporation of Machine Learning and Robotics into Vertical Farming Systems

As industrial-scale hydroponic systems become more prevalent, industry leaders are increasingly turning to robotics to manage the extensive operations these farms require. Our robotics team has developed a fully autonomous system that leverages machine learning and computer vision to efficiently cultivate crops within hydroponic systems, revolutionizing agricultural automation.
